Martial arts does not make the man, the man makes the martial arts. If a person has a bad attitude, he will not go very far in this, or any other martial art. His attitude will show in his performance and a bad example will be set. The result will be disrespect for that person and the martial arts he represents. However, the person with the right attitude will learn his martial art with greater purpose. That attitude will shine forth in his performance, a good example will be set and that person, and style will be greatly respected.
